Duncan had some great dives last week with a group of people, 2 of whom have been coming back to us for years and this year they bought a couple of friends with them.
Despite it being late October/November for their trip they managed to get in some cracking dives. We have been very fortunate to have had an extremely hot summer which meant the water temperature got very warm, and now with still a lot of unusually warm days, the water temperature is still a very pleasing 25 degrees.
Amongst their logged dives they went to Double Arches (fortunately this time it didn't move! this dive site is very easy to miss!) before the weather turned, they saw lots of Barracuda and Morays.
An afternoon dive to Ras-il-hobz where it seemed that everyone else on the Island had decided to go to as well, but that didn't put off our group who managed to avoid everyone else and get the pinnacle to them selves which is an excellent spot for finding fish.
As you may all know Dwerja is an excellent place to dive and is usually quite busy, but for our group they found them selves alone which made for a great dive. Inland Sea to Blue Hole - a great dive but can be quite a long one, which fortunately for Duncan and his group didn't prove to be a problem as they were all good on air. With excellent vis in the tunnel the group got some great photos which we hope to share with you soon.
With the weather changing again in the groups favour they managed to get to Booming Cave otherwise known as Billingshurst Cave on the north coast where along with great vis and flat calm water they had a fantastic dive. As some of the group were keen photographers they got some cracking pictures of 2 BIG Congers and other pics.
A final dive at Cathedral cave was as magical as ever, conditions were perfect for some amazing photos........ maybe even a good one of Duncan????
I'm sure the group had a great week diving with us as I know Duncan enjoyed his time with Andrea, Andreas, Chris and Jacqueline, although he does warn other dive centres that for them a short dive is 60 mins!!!!
